Why not the Krasiczyn Castle?

The Krasiczyn Castle, which is 10 kilometers from Przemysl, is one of the most beautiful and precious castles in Podkarpackie.

In 1580 Stanisław Krasicki, a courtier and Secretary of the Polish kings began building the castle and it was completed by his son Marcin in 1631. The castle is built on the plan of a quadrangle, the walls facing the four points of the compass.
In the corners there are four Towers: Divine, Papai, Royal and Noblemen’s, symbolizing the hierarchy of power in the world. The most conspicuous is the south-west Divine tower housing a superb chapel, which is sometimes compared to the Zygmuntowska chapel. From the castle’s courtyard, lined with arcades, the visitor can admire extremely rare graffiti decorations, presenting biblical scenes, hunting scenes and the images of kings.

Surrounding the castle is a beautiful park with an amazing variety of forms and a great number of foreign trees and plants. Centrally located is a pond, shelter for numerous bird species. Krasiczyn attracts lots of tourists who come to take part in the feasts, festivals, painting and photographic exhibitions hosted there.
