COSTS AND QUALITY
Unsatisfactory support of Health Ministry and deficient organisation of medicine public sector was a motivation to develop a competitive, professional, private sector, which offers highest quality services and one of the lowest range of prices in European Union.

These factors motivate foreign tourists to visit Polish medical centers. More and more frequently they are coming to Poland both to have holidays and to take care of their health. Often touring is even less important motivation to come to Poland than health.
The important factor, having influence on the choice of Poland as a destination for medical tourism is highly skilled Polish medical staff, evaluated very well abroad. Polish specialists are appreciated and welcomed by western medical centers. Nevertheless most of the doctors decide to stay in Poland, where the quality of medical treatment – especially in private medical centers – is to the highest European standard.

Apart from high quality, price is another motivation for foreign patients. Most of the services are five, six or even ten times cheaper than in other European Union countries.For example ultrasonography costs ₤10 in Poland compared to ₤100 in Great Britain (London). Another example can be routine dental examination, which in West Europe countries is at a similar cost as inserting good quality implant in Polish dentist surgeries

Our city has an excellent infrastructure for medical tourism. The Airport in Jasionka gives a perfect connection with European Union countries. What is more, our region is also full of interesting, beautiful places, not destroyed by industry. Moreover, the cost of medical examination in this part of Poland is even two times lower than in the western part of the country.
